SPECTRUM — A Rotaract Club of RJ College initiative

The Rotaract Club of RJ College was honored to host Dr. Nishtha Nishant, a distinguished scientist and from the LGBTQ community, for an inspiring and enlightening session on acceptance, self-love, and inclusivity. The event aimed to promote awareness and foster a more inclusive environment within the college, workplace and beyond. She captivated the students with her compelling life story, sharing the challenges she faced and overcame as a member of the LGBTQ community. Her journey from a young child to a respected scientist was a testament to the power of resilience and self-belief. She emphasized the importance of self-acceptance and the role it plays in achieving one’s goals.Throughout her talk, she highlighted the critical need for acceptance and support within educational institutions and society at large. She discussed the positive impact that inclusivity can have on mental health and academic performance, urging students and faculty to embrace diversity and foster a culture of respect and understanding.The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged with Dr. Nishtha asking questions and sharing their thoughts.
